Children Benefit from Chiropractic Care
The brain directs a child’s development, the growth and the function of each and every tissues cell, organ, bone and muscle. The spinal cord receives the information from the brain and sends electronic chemical signals through nerves to allow communication to occur within the body. It is therefore very important that children have a perfectly functioning spine and nervous system for maximum growth, optimal health and to lessen the chance of disease and infections.
Vertebral Subluxations can lead to many of the unwanted conditions that children suffer with each day. Dr. Arpad DeNagy of the Rockefeller Institute; Dr. Abraham Towbin of Harvard and top medical researcher Chung Ha Su of Colorado University have found that damage due to vertebral subluxation can quickly become permanent; therefore, children should be checked soon after birth and following any trauma or accidents.
Vertebral Subluxations in the spine may also obscure normal development of children and stop them from ever reaching their God given potential. Vertebral Subluxations interfere with normal organ growth and function. Recent research has shown that over 90% of all children in the first grade have at least one vertebral subluxation and it is and it is usually in the neck. These Vertebral Subluxations start the disease processes that manifest in later years.
Causes of Vertebral Subluxations in children are due mostly to the birthing process and/or the literally hundreds of major and minor falls and accidents associated with childhood. Another common reason for spinal problems is heredity.
Signs of Vertebral Subluxation include: poor posture; scoliosis; infections; asthma; allergies; growing pains; poor concentration; skin disorders; stomach pains; hyperactivity; poor sleeping habits; headaches; and even more serious illnesses and diseases.
